Spanish Courses and Volunteer in Costa Rica
Learn Spanish in San José, the vibrant capital city of Costa Rica in the middle of the country. The city is also a cultural and social hot spot close to nearby attractions such as the Arenal volcano and Monteverde
cloud forest.
Your Program
The standard program starts with a four-week-long language course followed by four weeks of volunteering (eight weeks total). The school organises activities such as daily latin dance classes, weekly cooking and conversation classes.
After completing your Spanish course (from one to four weeks of 20 hours a week), you continue your program with volunteer work in the local communities. Volunteers have the choice to work in a number of social project in San José or to work in eco projects in nearby National Parks.
Participants live with a Costa Rican host family while in San José. On our eco projects, accommodation is generally on site and shared.

Programs are available all year round. Some social projects are not available during school holidays (Dec.-Jan and in July)

Not included: airfare, visa fees, Travel and health insurance (mandatory), transportation to and from the National Park, pocket money
Program Structures
• 8 weeks: Homestay half board four weeks - four weeks Spanish classes 20 hours per week + four weeks volunteering work
• 5 weeks: Homestay half board one week - one week Spanish classes + four weeks volunteering work. Only for advanced students
• 3 weeks: Homestay half board one week – one week Spanish classes + one
week volunteering work with accommodation (only social project) + one
week excursions: guided tours with transportation, meals &
accommodation.
